Your Journey Actually Started Yesterday, You Just Figured It Out Today – Part 1
With this being my first official blog entry, I want to first call out that these blog posts are written for myself just as much as they are written for the readers. I get hesitant in sharing tips or advice as I don’t always feel as though I have the right answer for everything, all I have are my experiences which have guided me to make certain decisions and take certain actions. So I write these pieces from the space of someone who is continuously evolving and learning and sharing new realizations and revelations as I move along.
Most people who know me know that I’ve loved music and performing since a child and when I look at where I am now in my life, career, two years post-grad, I’ve realized that the my musical journey has started way before I even realized it, way before I was activally and thoughtfully in pursuit.
The common question people get asked in job or media interviews is “What was the moment you decided to pursue a career in XYZ?”, and I’ve realized that at least for me, there was never one life changing moment or defining experience that made me start aggressively pursuing my career. It was really a culmination of smaller impactful moments plus listening to my intuition plus having the guts to go for it.
Spanning from elementary school up until college, there have been common threads, lessons in each of those experiences that has brought me here, college grad in pursuit of a full-time career in music. I’ll break down these “Your Journey Actually Started Yesterday” posts into three or four different parts but wanted to share this as to say welcome to my website and I’m glad to have you on this journey.
